Hello dear friends,

A while ago I had the opportunity to see you all in a picture Pieter has send to me . I think it is the most important thing being commited to a noble cause, that of trying to help some poor children and people in a country that is totally disabled from the social point of view. My name is Maria Ignat and I had the luck to meet the wonderful friends from Holland in 1997 when I had the chance to come to your country with a group of 45 children all around Romania. In time,at my proposal, the Kinderrijk Foundation helped me to develop a project on social integration of the children from Iasi Orphanage. Later on the project was extended to poor families having very smart children at school. Not only all the people from the foundation helped us financially, but we learned many things from each other. They also established bounds of friendship with the people involved in the project. Without their help , your help , we couldn"t do so much for so many persons. Our activities are multiple, most of them based on education and study, medical assisstance where necessary, material help also.  My friends also helped me to found the Romanian association "' Doors always opened"'. The goal of the association is to develop other projects in order to help many others who need so much help , support and why not education. From 2004 till today the project we are running together supported and changed lives of about 30 persons( children, teenagers and adults). It is the most wonderful work in the world, to see how every day we notice changes in their thinking, we see the desire to change their lives in good, the desire of learning.

               Thank you very much for what you are trying to do for the people in the project and believe me, it deserves every minute when you see that a life has been saved form mediocracy, misery and illness.  Thank you once again and we hope you can help us to support other children and teenagers in need in the project in the future. The project is a success through our effort and understanding. I wish you strength , determination and passion for everything you do for us .
